Harrison Burton, a 24-year-old NASCAR driver, missed all points-paying races this year but will compete in the 2025 All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Driving the No. 51 Ford Mustang for Rick Ware Racing, Burton earned an automatic spot in the main event after a surprise win at Daytona last summer. Rick Ware, the team owner, expressed pride in their milestone moment of participating in the All-Star Race for the first time and is excited to give Burton this opportunity.
Burton’s victory at Daytona was unexpected and crucial, as he lost his full-time Cup Series ride with Wood Brothers Racing shortly after. Despite this setback, Burton’s win landed him in the playoffs, marking his only win in the Cup Series and 100th win for Wood Brothers. This will be Burton’s All-Star Race debut, having previously competed in the Open race three times without advancing.
Burton currently races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for AM Racing, where he has shown solid performance with one top five and six top tens in the first 12 races of the season, placing him tenth in the standings. Looking forward to representing RWR in the All-Star Race, Burton aims to carry his momentum from the Xfinity Series into the competition and challenge the best in the sport.
